CNG Projects
ENERZONE LTD is a Bulgarian entity which supplies equipment, designs, executes and puts into operation CNG (methane) stations.
The company is a distributor in Bulgaria and the Balkans of two world-leading CNG-manufacturers - ASPRO/DELTA COMPRESION Plc and TOMASETTO ACHILE from Argentina.
Ecology
The motor transport is the main air polluter in the big cities – it accounts for 50 to 90% of all harmful emissions. The natural gas has one of the fullest combustion and offers numerous advantages compared to the gasoline. The harmful emissions produced by the CNG-motors are lesser in times compared to the petrol-motors. In addition, smog-gasses (CO, NO) emissions are reduced by 90%, the CO2 emissions by 60% and the greenhouse gasses by 30-40% when changing the petrol with CNG fuel.
Safety
The methane is lighter than the air and in a difference to the other fuels dilutes quickly in the atmosphere in case of an accident. At the same time the gasoline spilt could cause fire and ecological catastrophe. The methane-bottles are stronger than the petrol tanks due to the technical and legal requirements as well as numerous tests on high pressure, shooting and fire. The methane fuel systems are hermetically-sealed and well protected which prevents leakages and gas evaporation. Methane has combustion temperature of 650◦C – twice as high than the petrol. In particular concentrations – below 5% and above 15% the combustion can’t even start. The last two facts make any methane-accidents and fires highly unlikely.
Economy
The world oil deposits decrease rapidly. Substantial investments in the oil extraction are necessary to meet the ever-increasing demand. Great many of the petrol-extracting countries have unreliable political systems. In such situation the methane is the right answer to the problem of the fuel demand. It is 3 to 4 times cheaper than the gasoline, 1,9 times than the LPG. Researches show that the CNG-kit is paid back in 15 000 km. for cars and 10 000 km. for trucks. In that manner the car-owners could save for a new car in each 450 000 – 500 000 km. only by switching from gasoline to methane fuel.
